Nature seems to be serving a purpose which is very evident and obvious – of propagating and sustaining life.

The universe works under a system that seems to be ruled by certain laws. Who is running this system is a question to reckon with, but for the moment, let us only consider that what is evident to all of us. Since ancient time, seers have been observing life and we cannot deny that life is perpetuated by a set of natural laws.

Our ancient Rishis had derived the secret of Sanatan Dharma or the right guidelines for a better life, which helps life to evolve. Yes, these are the best guidelines supported by nature and by following these, we propagate the laws that ensure that we live in harmony with the laws of nature and with the universe.

Nature is our teacher. In fact, unknowingly and subconsciously, we are emulating Nature in our lives. There are subtle clues and guidelines that are intuitively grasped by us to help us sail through the ocean of life.

Most of us follow them unknowingly or rather subconsciously. These guidelines or laws are the conclusion of human conscience, which identifies the intrinsic dignity of these rights and values in our lives.

These laws have to discovered with a sense of the right purpose within us. We have a sacred obligation to obey these laws. As long as we obey them, we fulfil our true destiny and life proceeds in harmony with nature.

Disharmony occurs when we knowingly ignore or neglect these laws either out of personal greed or because of our inability to grasp their effects on life.

Sometimes, out of this inability and ignorance, we are compelled or are forced to act against these laws which results in miseries and sufferings.

The World Wars and the Holocaust era are examples of what might happen once again if we ignore these cosmic laws.

But nature has its ways of restoring or dissolving anything faulty by way of calamities or disasters. These natural laws can well be called Cosmic laws because they make no distinction between when or how they serve their purpose.

Some of these laws work on the physical level and their effects can be recorded and preserved. The laws of physics come under these cosmic laws. Humans often make the error of identifying only these as the evident laws in the universe.

But we need to consider even the subtle laws which cannot be recorded because they might show up only over a period of time. To recognise them, we have to rely on our intuitive experience. Sometimes, it takes a few decades before their effect can be noticed.

Naturally, when we don’t live to see their effect, why should we believe them or question their role? In such a situation, one might tend to ignore them and label them as some kind of illusion.
