All of us are capable of creating our own miracles, as it is a power gifted to us by God, says OSWALD PEREIRA
We sometimes hear stories of people getting cured miraculously of life-threatening diseases like cancer by some saint or healer. If we or one of our near and dear ones is afflicted by a chronic ailment, we may rush out seeking intervention from that healer. But there is no guarantee that we or our relative may be as lucky.
For the so-called unlucky ones there is hope ― in God. Simply because God has given all of us the power to create our own miracle; it’s the power of the mind or will; the power of positive thinking.
Think positive and your life will be full of goodness and happiness. Think negatively and unimagined misfortunes will befall you.
Think of diseases and diseases will ravage you. Think of health, wellness and happiness and you will be well and disease-free. Don’t say that this is easier said than done. Say it’s done and it will be done.
Yours will be done. God’s Will will be done! The will, indeed, can be trained to command the body to bring about miraculous changes in it.
“Most persons who are ineffectual in trying to heal themselves have allowed their thoughts of health to be weakened by the mental habit of chronic thoughts of sickness,” says Paramhansa Yogananda, the great yogi, who himself performed Christ-like miracles of bringing the dead back to life.
He advises us to visualise that we are healthy to strengthen our health consciousness, thereby “dislodging any die-hard conviction of disease.” The strong mind of a healer can revive the will of the patient who has become “paralysed with the consciousness of sickness,” and thus heal him.
In like manner, the patient himself can change his thoughts and energy and thus heal himself.
God created us, his children, disease-free. This is our natural state and a gift from God; indeed, a boon of God’s creation.
When we heal ourselves, it is not we who are the doers. It is God, who is the doer. The moment we boast, “Hey, I healed myself,” our healing is likely to be brought to naught. Hence, every healing of ourselves, should be followed by a big thank you to the Creator.
In order to make healing second nature to us, we need to practise spiritual techniques like meditation and yoga. This will help us develop concentration and will empower and expand our consciousness.
As a consequence, “the matter-habituated mind is released from constraints to vibrate at a finer rate, in tune with the astral and causal vibrations of God’s creative activity and ultimately with the Creator Himself,” observes Yogananda.
When we are attuned to God, the impossible becomes possible. Yogananda remarks that “any imaginable transformation is possible” to one who is connected with the “omnipotent vibration of God.”
“God created the body lamp and is also the dynamo that lights it with His cosmic energy,” says Yogananda. “Even if the lamp is broken, its Creator can repair and light it again,” he concludes.
But in order to carry out any repair, God needs us to play an active role; for, we are an integral part of His creation.

Nice reflection Oswald jee!
Life doesn’t prescribe adharmic thoughts like hatred, cruelty, greed or selfishness. Life is all about love and empathy. Anything that really rises from love & empathy is an expansion of consciousness. Jiva comes with its limited awareness only with a single goal of expanding consciousness & regain its real nature.
Hate is not the cup of tea for one. Some are ignorant & practice hate some are pseudo dharmic sanatani and practice hate. And no issue with another, while I live with dharmic thoughts.
There is no karma as universe is auto-designed. Our thoughts link us with actions.
Mind is Matrika Shakti. It gives Jiva both to Light & Darkness. It is a choice.
Mind creates thoughts as one chooses.
Thoughts connect one with an action.
Life goes on.
Ramana Maharshi says:
“There is nothing new to gain. On the other hand a man must lose his ignorance.”
Light & darkness – Positivity & negativity – Knowledge& ignorance – Dharmic & adharmic — All of them convey one message and we always have the discretion to choose.
So we may say- expansion of consciousness is loosing ignorance.
In loosing ignorance there is no place of hatred, cruelty, and all such vices. Exploring virtues make us healer of our own sickness.
Thank you Oswald jee for tagging me here.
