SONALI MONGIA AMLA says she was lucky enough to gain an understanding of the soul’s journey some years ago and ever since gained perspective and has lived her life without complaining and questioning. Now, she helps others to do the same

The Soul is the Self; it’s the “I” that inhabits the body and acts through it. A soul is not just the engine of life; it also embodies the why of our existence, its meaning and purpose. It is our “inner identity” and it is the very reason for our existence.

The word soul means our inner voice, which wants to tell us a lot of things ― but most times we fail to hear it because of internal and external noises.

Working with the energies within will help us clear away mental, emotional and physical clutter, thus enabling us to hear the messages from within. The process also helps us to discover their purpose, so that we can design a life that supports our mission and purpose in our own journey through life.

In effect, all aspects of our lives, and the key to our success lies in our ability to connect, to create and live from our soul-based, authentic self. When we heal and transform our relationship with ourselves, we awaken to our own gifts, and can even become an inspirational force for others to emulate.

We each have unique gifts and passions. When we tap into these, soulfully, it is inevitable that we will serve others. As bestselling American author, Caroline Myss aptly says, “The Soul always knows what to do to heal itself. The challenge is to silence the mind.”

I gained the understanding of the soul’s journey some years ago, Ever since then, it has helped me gain perspective, and live my life without complaining and questioning ― why me?

Blessed with this knowledge and understanding, I decided that I would like to help people in a thought-provoking yet creative way, inspiring them to maximise their personal as well as their own professional potential.

In order to formalise my knowledge, I decided to become a certified professional coach, specialising in executive and life coaching. For me, coaching is a connection of souls, to make their journey meaningful and future forward. Through coaching, I like to help others with a holistic approach, filled with good energy and acceptance.

I have named my coaching model, Souls. Important characteristics of my coaching model are trust, energy, chakra balancing, gratitude, empathy, openness, self-reflection, love and curiosity. Spiritual principles and meditation add value to my coaching practice.

My Souls model helps each person draw from internal motivation or their own inner strength, to reach his or her goal. It draws on the belief that human beings are capable of finding their own goal in life, or their path to success.

The beauty of connecting with your own soul is that you realise that there is no one way of doing things, but rather your own soul will instinctively take you forward on your own journey to achieve things in life. Besides being based on gut feeling or intuition, your soul instinctively ensures that your own individual inner journey and outer journey are integrated.

I am truly blessed and grateful to the Almighty! Right from my first job, which dropped into my lap (while I was still completing college) and then all through these years, God has been extremely kind, and I have been fortunate enough to work with some of the best and most talented people in the country.

Similarly, like all my other work, coaching too just came my way. For some time now, I had been nursing an innate desire to help people, and to me, that meant through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) route in my public relations practice. Coaching is now my new route to help others on a far more personal level.
