It is truly beautiful to sit quietly in silence amidst natural surroundings, in silent contemplation, allowing our minds to unfold and grasp the majesty of movement from the unmanifested into the manifested

Yes, we are indeed the most miraculous creation of all things and creatures created. We so often and so readily take everything for granted ― the towering heights of mountains, the soft sands of the deserts, and the oceans which occupy so much of the space on earth.

We even take our planet earth for granted, busy as we are with striding steps towards more and more technology. Technology and science have a very valid task, true, and it is thanks to the quantum physicists’ persistent efforts that yesterday’s metaphysics are today’s proved and documented evidence of the real reality of the Universe, and of our own selves.

Both the multitude and the variety of creation are mind-boggling. It is said that no two leaves are exactly alike. And psychologists tell us that no two human beings are exactly alike. From personal experience, this writer has found that even identical twins, no matter how closely bonded they may be to each other, have completely different interpretations of their perception.

And then, when we think our own physical bodies, have we ever stopped to wonder how it developed from one single fertilized cell? What magnificence of organizing ability there is in Infinite Intelligence! Scientists still do not know how that one single cell gives rise to the different groups of trillions of other cells ― each group of cells being completely different to the others. Have we ever stopped to think from where this has been manifested?

It is truly beautiful to sit quietly in silence amidst natural surroundings, in silent contemplation, allowing our minds to unfold and grasp the majesty of movement from the unmanifested into the manifested. Even a superficial study of the human body’s anatomy leaves us breathless with amazement.

The individuality of all of us is because of karmic reasons, and we go through life using our intellect alone which is dependent upon the five physical senses, our brains editing out anything beyond it. Perhaps only a handful of people may be there who use more of their mind, knowing that the mind is beyond time and space, and who can comprehend the source of creation.

Meditation is not just to get peace of mind – it allows us to go beyond thought and judgement as we understand it, it puts us in a “receiving” mode from Infinite Consciousness.

Placing ourselves in the “receiving” mode is also part of Practical Spirituality.
