Australian guru SHAKTI DURGA outlines the best route to fulfilment and abundance

Everyone is looking to cultivate wealth, success and abundance in life. The three ways that you can create these are listed below:

The Slog: This is the time-tested first way and relies on sheer hard work and effort and is called ‘The slog’! Earlier in my life, the only way I knew how to have abundance was to work hard and make lots of money. I was beholden to my job, to my clients, seemingly to everyone and I had hardly any time or space left for myself. No wonder, business is called busy-ness. It is for a reason! This is the methodology we learn at school – work hard and tick as many boxes of success as you can, regardless of the cost.

Mind Power: The second way to abundance is through the use of mind power. The power of the mind is pretty amazing and you realize that it’s a creative force by itself. When we get mental clarity about what we want to create, and we’re able to stick to that without deviating from our goal, that clear objective will soon begin to manifest.

But a lot of the time, what happens is that we start to create something and then we begin to doubt ourselves. A thousand questions crop up – such as whether we should be creating that thing at all. We doubt whether it is possible. This causes the energy to fall out of what we were creating, and without the energy, nothing is going to happen.

We need to be diligent when using mind power, for we cannot stray mentally from what we are aiming for. We are using our mind to lay the tracks for the reality train to follow. When we get side-tracked or lose focus and start thinking the opposite of what we want, we create different tracks and the reality train doesn’t know where to go.

If our mind can stay strong and focused, we can lay great tracks for our reality train. But even then, we have to put enough energy into what our mind is trying to create for it to manifest (otherwise the train will soon run out of fuel), and depending on karma, it can take more, or less time, for that energy to come into our creation. So the second method is better than the first, but it is still not the easiest option.

Soul Involvement: The third way to manifest is to get your soul involved. When your soul is involved, it’s a different game altogether, and we soon start to enter into the field of the miraculous.

Through the soul, we connect with the whole of the universe where everything is possible. We also open up to possibilities that are greater and more joyous than what our minds can dream up. Working with the soul is faster than working with the mind alone. However, there’s still work to do. In order to make that connection with our souls, we need to have time for internal practices whether meditation, mantra, devotional practice or whatever connects our soul and higher self. This connection must happen every day to manifest in this way. The good thing is that the practices themselves become more and more blissful and rejuvenating over time and you will begin to look forward to them! These practises enrich your life in more ways than just the power of miraculous manifestation – and the beauty that begins to arise around you is spectacular. It’s well worth a try!
