Thoughts are like seeds and manifest as fruit, whether good or bad in our lives, says DR SANJAY TEOTIA

Physical reality is an energetic system. There are particles of energy all around us and these coalesce to create matter. Our thoughts are energy, our words are energy and our actions are energy. We create manifestations through thoughts, words and actions that use energy to form objects, conditions and experiences.

As we bring more energy to any thought, conversation and action, we increase our powers of creation. The higher the frequency of our thought or brain wave, the higher our consciousness. The level of our consciousness is what makes our reality what it is and what it will continue to be. Thoughts are like seeds. Whatever thoughts we think about, we manifest the fruit of these thoughts, whether good or bad.

Yogis understand that our thoughts also create vibrations, which is energy. We all hold energy in the form of thoughts, beliefs, emotions and memories. Therefore, this energy needs attention. When, we are consumed by anger, resentment, jealousy, greed, lust, hate and other such negative emotions, it begins to affect us. Somewhere, deep down in the recesses of our thoughts, we also know what we are doing is wrong.

We know that everything we think about receives energy through our thought. When we accept this power that is present within us, we also learn to send these power packets to thoughts and actions that give us happiness. When we learn to control and transform the energy of anger, then we are flooded with peace; similarly, resentment can be transformed to goodwill, greed to contentment; lust can be overcome to become detachment; entanglement becomes involvement; hate becomes acceptance at first eventually leading to love and so on.

Iin the process, life gets transformed. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but it can be transformed.Everything that happens in the universe obeys this fundamental law. Thoughts, by themselves, have no power, but when we actively invest our attention into them, they become real. And when we engage with specific thoughts, we begin to feel the emotions that were triggered by these thoughts. We enter a new emotional state which then influences how we act.

Neuroscientists have discovered that repetitive thoughts form neural pathways as neurons that fire and get wired together. The more a particular thought or belief is activated and reinforced, the stronger these neural pathways become.

Since thoughts are energy signals, the energy transmitting a thought has mass. To explain consciousness as a physical process, we need to acknowledge the role of energy in the brain. Energetic activity is fundamental to all physical processes and causally drives biological behaviour.

Consciousness is a product of the organization of energetic activity in the brain. The nature of energy itself, though, is mysterious and we are still in the dark about how it contributes to brain function or consciousness.

To understand it, we must get into a meditative mood. Get quiet and feel as if you are part of the environment and surroundings around you, like your energy is grounded. In such a stance, whenever we feel attraction or repulsion, we may feel an energetic charge; when we laugh or cry, we may feel a discharge of our energy.

Through awareness, we are conscious of our mind from the moment we wake till we fall asleep. This becomes so automatic, that we forget that the mind and awareness are separate from each other. However, it is awareness that gives us the power to enter and interact with thought forms in the mind.

Knowing this distinction is essential as it helps us take charge of the mind’s energy. Through awareness, we can mould the mind’s energy into positively oriented thoughts.
